Some times, even during a break or on holiday, work does not leave us completely. You may still need to get a little amount of work done during your vacation, but in the festive and relaxed atmosphere you hardly feel like thinking about work, let alone actually doing it.
One easy way to counter this is by making it a 'two-hour job day'. What you do is that you ensure that for some amount of time (say 2 or 3 hours a day) you do your jobs. Do not fall off to bed till you have put in that hour or two of work. Convert your holidays to a two-hour job day and you will not have to run around getting your work when its too late already!
Cheers.
